The Bennett Group is a family business, and every decision leading to its formation was rooted in the importance of family. When deciding what profession in which to launch his second career, Craig decided on real estate. The flexible schedule meant he never missed a game or regatta for either of his children. From the beginning, real estate has been a business that revolved around family, and Craig operates this business with the belief that customers are family too.
Once Craig and Mary’s children were off to college, Mary began helping Craig full-time, and together they grew the business to new heights. Mary’s licensing in 2010 was the real start of The Bennett Group, even though the name would not come about for a few more years. After college, both young adults, returned home and Cody joined the family business. Mary is still very much involved in the business though she is rarely in the office these days. Craig spent a great deal of time teaching Cody the ins and outs of real estate and they have joined several different coaching and marketing firms to further Cody’s real estate understanding. They have sifted through all of this information and distilled what they believe to be the most effective combination of marketing tools both in print and online to provide the greatest exposure possible for the homes they represent.
Their slogan, Helping You Create Lasting Memories, came about when Craig was trying to define why he enjoys real estate so much. It afforded him the freedom to spend time with his family and friends creating wonderful memories. Many former customers are good friends, and the Bennett’s continue to make lasting memories through the business. Megan, while not selling real estate, certainly understands and values helping others, which is part of why she enjoys her career at the YMCA so much. This endeavor became a passion the whole family shares because it gives them the opportunity to introduce people to the bright and vibrant place which they call home. We get to make memories helping others experience and share our hometown, so that they can make memories of their own in this truly unique coastal community.
